The situation

Discover Card needed a fresh approach to convince merchants to add its card as a payment option. They called on us to develop a full-year campaign to market a fee-free introductory program to merchants and card-processing companies.

The solution

We created Discover ON US, which featured interviews and photos of real merchants. The program included websites for both merchants and card-processing companies, detailed sales and training materials, and monthly email and direct mail communications throughout the year.

We can’t give you the exact numbers because of a confidentiality agreement, but we can tell you this: The client is delighted, a boatload of merchants have been signed up, and it’s now easier than ever to buy things for consumers across America.
